E-bikes (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates an electric vehicle showroom and this website. We are committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits our website, enquires about our products, books a test ride or service, or purchases an electric vehicle from us.
This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or submit your information to us.
We only collect information that helps us serve you better. This includes:
Information you provide directly
Information collected automatically
We use your information to:
We process your personal information where you have given consent (for example, by submitting a form or opting in to marketing), where it is necessary to perform a service or contract you have requested (such as a purchase or service booking), where we have a legitimate business interest, or where we are required to do so by law. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
We keep personal information only for as long as the purpose requires, or for as long as the law obliges us to — whichever is longer. Once both have lapsed we securely delete or anonymise it. The schedule below is what we actually apply:
| What | How long | Basis | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enquiries, test-ride bookings, unconverted leads | 2 years from last contact | Our policyOur policy | Kept for follow-up and re-engagement, then erased once the sales purpose has lapsed. No statute fixes this period. |
| Tax invoices, payments and GST records | 8 years from the end of the financial year | Required by lawCompanies Act 2013 §128(5); CGST Act 2017 §36 | Books of account must be kept for eight financial years. We cannot erase these earlier, even on request. |
| KYC and address-proof documents | 8 years from the end of the financial year of the sale | Required by lawCompanies Act 2013 §128(5); Motor Vehicles registration records | Held as registration, finance and audit evidence. Erased once the statutory period expires. |
| Vehicle service history and warranty claims | 8 years from the last service visit | Our policyOur policy | Covers the longest manufacturer warranty we sell plus the period in which a claim can still be raised against it. |
| Consent records | 6 years from consent being withdrawn or expiring | Our policyDPDP Act 2023 §6 | Proof that consent was validly obtained, kept long enough to outlast the period in which a claim could be brought. |
| Website analytics and advertising data | Not collected | Our policyNot applicable | We run no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. The only cookies we set are the ones that keep you signed in, and they are deleted when your session ends. |
Where a statutory period applies we cannot delete the record early, even on request — but we will tell you precisely what we kept and when it will be erased.
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse — including encrypted connections, restricted access controls, and secure session handling. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we continually work to safeguard your data.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
The quickest way to exercise any of these is our data request form. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within 30 days. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and takes effect immediately — though it does not undo processing we already carried out lawfully, or cancel a purchase, registration, or active service job.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Our website and services are intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites (such as manufacturer or social media pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing any information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we publish the contact of the person who answers questions about how we handle your personal data. Write to them if you have a concern, or if you are unhappy with how we handled a request:
